Fursuit Features

All makers have certain features that come standard with their fursuits, or premiums that can be added on. Kitty Up is no exception. I offer a variety of add ons to truly customize your fursuit to make it unique to you. (PHOTOS TBA)

By default, all of my fursuits start as 3D printed bases made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). This material is incredibly durable and breathable compared to foam, resin, or PLA, and is flexible.

You have a choice between static or following eyes. The eye mesh is PVC mesh. The design is printed with specialty paper and ink, and then sent through a heat press to vaporize the ink and permanently bond it to the mesh (dye sublimation). I additionally color the back of the eye mesh black for optimal visibility. They are fursuit spray safe and waterproof.

Noses are fabric covered by default, with a fabric tongue that's been glued in. Teeth are 3D printed in PLA plastic.

The head is lined with quilted broadcloth for the head, and black fleece for the mouth and eye sockets. The neck is unlined for ease of maintenance, faster drying, and to trap less heat.

Additionally, if possible, I try and hide vents in the ears of the fursuit for additional heat release. Some characters may be unable to qualify for this.

I work in a variety of styles, from toony to semi-realistic. At this time I do not offer realistic fursuit heads, airbrushing, or dry brushing on my fursuits. I am also unable to create gradients.

Static eyes are fursuit eyes that look at a fixed point no matter the angle. They are also known as 2D or flat eyes as they are often flatter than following eyes.

Following eyes are eyes that appear to follow the viewer no matter the angle. They are also known as 3D eyes due to their depth

Following eyes have the premium option of an LED diode being installed at the top to make the eyes light up (LED Eyes). They come in a single color, and are permanently installed into the head.
Colors: Pink, red, yellow, green, cyan, blue, white, RGB cycle.

Velcro eyelids are an add on that makes a set of eyelids for your fursuit so you can change the expression of the suit. They attach via velcro to keep them lightweight, and give them infinite options for positions.

By default, my fursuit noses are made out of a soft minky fabric (think baby blanket or plush toy material).

As a premium, pickable nostrils can be added. They only connect the two nostrils; they don't go into the mouth cavity. These pickable nostrils allow for nose rings, bars, and other things to be inserted.

Another premium is a hard, plastic nose. This is 3D printed and either finished to a glossy(shiny) or matte(flat) finish.

My fursuits come with 3D printed plastic teeth as the default. They are glued in with a tough superglue to ensure a secure fit, and can come in any requested color and amount. I tend to focus on upper and lower fangs, but can add incisors, molars, and more depending on client wants.

For a fee, I can do plush teeth. These teeth are made in a soft fabric and are squishy. I typically do upper and lower fangs only for these, but I can do incisors, molars, gum detail, and more if asked.

Fursuit tongues are made in soft, minky fabric and glued into the head as standard for my fursuits.

I also offer velcro tongues. This allows the tongue to velcro in and out of the mouth to swap for a long tongue, a poseable tongue with a wire, a different shape or color tongue, or more! The default will come with a short and long tongue, please ask if you want poseable or something different.

Additional premium head features are:

A removable fan in the muzzle. Adds extra airflow, and velcros in and out of the head for washing and maintenance. Battery powered. There will be a zipper pouch added to the fursuit neck to hold the battery pack.

3D printed piercings. These are permanently installed in the head. I can do rings, studs, lobe plugs, tunnels, bars, and more! They come in an assortment of colors as well.

Horns can be either made in a soft, plush material like minky, or a hard plastic that's been 3D printed. 3D printed horns can have fun paint features such as gradients and more, as well as choice on finish (gloss, matte, etc.)

Please feel free to ask if there's a certain feature you would like but don't see here. I make everything in my fursuit styles, with methods that I trust and can rely on. I may not be able to accommodate every request you have or do something another maker is capable of doing.

Note that in the world of fursuit making, there is no standard. Each and every fursuit maker offers a unique style and selection of options that they're willing to do. Make sure that you like my offerings and what I can do before submitting a quote!
